PhD Student
Matteo completed his bachelor’s and master’s degree in Food Science and Technology at University of Milan in October 2022. His master’s thesis focused on developing new methods to authenticate white wine vinegar using spectroscopic techniques.
In December 2022, he won a research fellowship for promising graduates funded by Bolton Group, in which he addressed the study of treatments aimed at reducing food degradation processes.
Since October 2023, he is pursuing a PhD course in Food Systems (Cycle XXXIX) under the supervision of Prof. Dallavalle and Prof. Farris, where he is working on developing new materials for food packaging from waste biomass from the seafood supply chain.
