Matteo Corti

Matteo Corti has obtained his master degree in Biotechnology for the bioeconomy with honor at the University of Milan in December 2023. For his master thesis, he did an internship in Biocatalysis at the Department of Food, Environmental and Nutritional Sciences (DEFENS) at the University of Milan, studying biocatalysed approaches for the valorisation of isoflavones derived from soybean waste.

In February 2024, he has won a research fellowship funded by the PNRR Agritech program, at the DEFENS at the University of Milan, for the studying of waste valorisation methods coming from agri-food sector.

Matteo is currently a PhD student in Food system (XL Cycle) supervised by Prof. Contente and Prof. Kunova, and he is working on the production and assessment of prenyl transferases for the biotransformation of natural compounds.
