PhD Student
Anna Fusetti obtained her Master’s degree in Chemical Sciences at the University of Milan in February 2025.
During her master’s thesis she worked on the synthesis of nature-inspired citric and malic acid derivatives as antifungal agents.
In April 2025 she won a research fellowship for promising graduates founded by project PRIN2022 focusing her research on the synthesis of new antibacterial compounds.
Anna is currently a PhD student in Food system (XLI cycle) under the supervision of Dr. Gigliola Borgonovo and Prof. Andrea Kunova in the Organic and Food Chemistry laboratories. She is working on the synthesis of novel siderophores and highly active nature-inspired compounds to be used as antifungal agents for crop protection.
