Anna Di Marco

Anna completed her BSc in Chemistry at the University of Florence, including a nine-month Erasmus exchange at the University of Manchester.

She obtained my MSc in Chemistry at the University of Milan, carrying out part of the thesis research in Germany (Leibniz University Hannover) and a postgraduate traineeship in Sweden (Uppsala University). Throughout her studies, she mainly focused on organic chemistry, particularly total and semisynthesis, especially during her “Research Scientist” position at LUH.

Anna is currently a PhD candidate within the MSCA Doctoral Network – Joint Doctorate HaloVerse supervised by Prof. Martina L. Contente. Her research focuses on developing more selective and sustainable halogenation strategies for the synthesis of indole derivatives with antimalarial and antimicrobial activity.
