PhD Student
Agostina Colacicco obtained her Master’s degree in Pharmaceutical Biotechnology from the Università degli Studi di Milano in July 2022. For her Master’s thesis, she completed an internship at the Department of Food, Environmental and Nutritional Sciences, where she focused on the expression, characterization, and application of an extremophilic β-glycosidase. Her research emphasized its immobilization and process optimization using flow chemistry reactors.
Agostina is currently a PhD student in Food Systems (XXXVIII cycle) at the Department of Food, Environmental and Nutritional Sciences at the University of Milan under the supervision of Prof. Contente. Her research is part of the AGRITECH project, where she is exploring the integration of biocatalysis and continuous processing to valorize agro-food residues.
